These are the ports of call where Thorsten Ernst has stopped off so far in his life. Along the way, he received his high school diploma, did compulsory community service in a nursery school, studied extensively (political sciences, ethnology, African studies, philosophy, comparative linguistics, cultural geography), received a master’s degree (topic of his thesis: Asymmetric conflicts and the “New Wars”), worked as a promoter, unskilled labourer, lorry-wash attendant, projectionist and cable puller, as well as doing a wide range of internships (Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit GTZ, Radio Aachen 100,1, Tide TV, MME).

Now he has been settled in Hamburg since 2006 and with Signed Media since 2009, where he is a freelance journalist involved in a range of projects on many different levels, but particularly in the TRACKS cosmos.
