Born in Hamburg in 1987, she did a voluntary social year in the arts after finishing high school and then went on to study Cultural Sciences and Practical Aesthetics in Hildesheim, with a special focus on the visual arts, literature, cultural policy and popular culture. During this time, she also spent a year abroad and studied photography at the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Pontevedra, Spain.

This was followed by a master’s degree in “The Presentation of the Arts and the Media” – focussing specially on the presentation of history. Topic of her thesis: My country is the most beautiful of all – Folk songs as a medium for collective memory.

 

While at university, she was involved in a range of organisational and mediatory activities in the cultural sector, including co-directing the educational seminars in FSJK, press and public relations work at the Sprengel Museum Hannover, art education on the MS Artville, children’s workshops, exhibition curator and founding member of Kunstraum 53 in Hildesheim.

 

She has been with Signed Media since 2017, first as a trainee in the production sector and on “Team Move”, now at the interface between the production and editorial departments.
